The Brookridge Life Plan Community is part of the Baptist Retirement Homes family — a faith-based, not-for-profit organization that has been committed to providing quality care and a meaningful way of life for aging adults since 1951. If you would like to help make a difference, the Baptist Retirement Homes Foundation offers a variety of ways to support the benevolent care ministry of BRH. Your consideration in making a donation is appreciated!
Medicine from the Heart
Medicine from the Heart is a program that helps older adults receive their medications more cost effectively. If you would like to become a partner today, email Keith Dixon at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know the number of vials you would like to donate.
Naming the BRH Foundation as a beneficiary of your will costs nothing to you, and it can significantly reduce the real estate tax for your heirs. Our staff will be happy to work with you and your advisors to create the proper language to leave a meaningful bequest to ensure that our benevolent care work continues.
The funds are established for the purpose of providing support for people, programs, and facilities in perpetuity. The principle of an endowment gift is invested by the BRH Foundation, and a portion of the annual interest earned is used to support the purpose selected by the donor.
Whether a principal residence, vacation home, farm, commercial building, subdivision lot, or land, you may gift the property or a fractional interest in the property to our BRH Foundation. Doing this will allow you to claim a charitable tax deduction for the full fair market value of the real estate while avoiding capital gains taxes on appreciation. All real estate gifts require prior approval by Baptist Retirement Homes Executive Management.
Quick and simple, you may use your credit card to make a gift online or donate over the phone, by mail, or by wire transfer.
Gifts of Stocks and Securities
Gifts of appreciated shares of marketable securities are valuable for allowing the BRH Foundation to continue its mission while serving as a significant tax advantage for you.
Charitable Gift Annuities
A charitable gift annuity is similar to a charitable remainder trust but is much simpler in concept and function. A charitable gift annuity provides a donor with a nice charitable tax deduction and a life income stream that can range from 5% to more than 10% based on the age of the donor. All charitable gift annuities require approval by Baptist Retirement Homes Executive Management.
Life Insurance Gifts
Make a large gift with very little cost. By making the BRH Foundation the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, you receive immediate and future income tax deductions for the total premiums paid or the fair market value of the policy.
IRA Charitable Rollovers
If you are at least six months over 70, directly transfer up to $100,000 per year tax free from your IRA account to the BRH Foundation.
