Faith. Family. Fulfillment.

About Us

Brookridge is a Life Plan Community owned and operated by ThriveMore. Since 1951, our faith-based, not-for-profit organization has been committed to providing quality care and a meaningful way of life at each of our senior living communities in North Carolina. In addition to Winston-Salem, NC, ThriveMore communities are located in Arden, Albemarle and Concord.

Our DNA

Shared Values

Our commitment to provide quality care and meaningful living to our residents is rooted in our core values — honesty, fairness, compassion, cooperation, dependability, humor, kindness, loyalty, patience and conscientiousness. From small gestures like greeting residents by name to anticipating their needs and exceeding expectations, we put our values into practice daily to enhance the lives of those we serve.

Central To Everything

Location

Brookridge is located on a 46-acre wooded campus in northwest Winston-Salem. Our campus is within easy reach of everything Winston-Salem offers, including world-class performing arts, sporting events, a celebrated culinary scene, vibrant arts district, beautiful parks and historic sites. For fans of the Gold & Black, Wake Forest University and the LJVM Coliseum are less than five minutes away.

When you want to travel farther afield, we're ideally situated halfway between the coast and the mountains. Enjoy the area and all it has to offer.

Serving Seniors For Generations

History

Brookridge opened its doors in 1989 with a commitment to provide an outstanding senior living experience. To uphold our commitment, we've continued to invest and improve our community. Over the years, we've added amenities, including an indoor heated pool, fitness center, memory care neighborhood and café. We have upgraded common spaces, apartment homes and garden homes. More improvements are coming soon, including an innovative memory care neighborhood. It will be designed to allow couples to live together while having access to support for both caregiver partner and their spouse with dementia.

Support Our Mission

Foundation

In 2000, a Foundation was formed to support the benevolent ministry of Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina. The Foundation has a profound impact on the lives of residents in our care, focusing on three key areas:

  • Financial Assistance for Residents in Need
  • Subsidized Medications for Seniors
  • Enhancing our Communities

To learn how you can support the Foundation, visit thrivemorenc.org or contact Kevin Cook, Director of Development, at kcook@thrivemorenc.org.

“When you consider that you are living among many different personality types, the camaraderie at Brookridge is amazingly good! Betty and I are exceedingly pleased at the quickness with which we were accepted into the community.”
— Frank & Betty J., Resident
